Black Forest Winter Punch

Ingredients (for approximately 6 servings):
– 1 liter cherry juice
– 500 ml red wine (optional for the alcoholic version)
– 200 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
– 1 organic orange (sliced)
– 1 cinnamon stick, 3 cloves, 2 star anise, a small piece of ginger (sliced)
– 2-3 tbsp honey or brown sugar (to taste)
– 1 dash of Kirschwasser (optional)

Preparation:
1. Heat cherry juice (optional red wine), orange juice & spices in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Let the punch steep for 20 minutes, then season with honey (optional Kirschwasser) to taste.
3. Serve and enjoy with gingerbread or Christmas cookies.
