Sustainability

Conscious Hospitality
The Palmenwald Schwarzwaldhof

Sustainability is part of our daily actions. At Palmenwald, we combine the conscious use of resources, regional partnerships, and a mindful guest experience – for a stay in harmony with nature and the future.

We work closely with regional suppliers and prioritize short supply chains, fresh products, and local partnerships. This strengthens the region and creates authentic moments of enjoyment.

Through measures such as reduced room cleaning, conscious energy use, and optimized processes, we actively contribute to the sustainable use of water, energy, and materials.

As a listed heritage building, we bear a special responsibility. Preserving the historical Art Nouveau structure is sustainability in practice for us – we protect what exists and carefully guide it into the future.

As hosts, we thrive on the people who fill our establishment with life. Therefore, we stand for equal opportunities, fairness, and respectful interaction with one another.

We foster a working environment where individual strengths are valued, and every person can develop personally and professionally, regardless of gender, origin, or age.

We understand diversity as a strength. Different people, experiences, and perspectives make our team unique and contribute to an open, welcoming atmosphere.

In this way, we create an environment where employees feel as welcome as our guests from all over the world.

As a GreenSign-certified hotel, we continuously work to reduce our ecological footprint. This includes the conscious use of energy, waste avoidance, and sustainable measures in our daily hotel operations.

With many small and large steps, we take responsibility for the future and the preservation of the unique nature around Bad Reichenhall and the Berchtesgaden region.
